And thinking about it, what a surprising end for these last months of difficulty and harsh news.
Amidst the uncertainty of pandemic times, a true wave of compassion rose. One not only moved by the situation on the streets but also by a shared love of art. We all believe in the power of images and, if affordable, how they can change our daily lives and drives -- making us see the world with new eyes, perhaps leaving home with greater motivation after inhabit between more colorful walls. ART4FOOD managed to distribute 660 prints from 90 different artists through a network of donors. We truly hope these photographs satisfy you as much as satisfied us to create them!
This leads us to talk about next steps and future goals.
With YOUR help, the project Local4Local has the possibility to keep running and providing valuable covid-relief to more families for further months. But also the interest in the project made us think on where to move forward. A big exhibition to celebrate the variety and quality of work from our array of photographers (location and date to be announced soon), educational activities in schools, an expanded online art platform to connect artists and art lovers, more projects with cyclos including an art festival and tours around the country. The first one? A photo-book coming up soon, let us know if you're interested in pre-ordering it!
Stay tuned for some exciting news because one thing you can be sure: there's a lot to be done in this land halfway between art and social good, and this was just the beginning :)
